OFFICIAL DIES
(N.Z. Press Association) TE AROHA. A life member and past president of the Te Aroha Jockey Club, Mr C. A. Swney, died suddenly at his home in Te Aroha yesterday afternoon.
Mr Swney was elected club president in 1963 and remained in office until retiring in 1968. He was made a life member of the club last year. Mr Swney served on the executive for 21 years and has virtually held every position in the club. Among a number of horses he owned is the good galloper, Master Hagen.
