An Israeli military spokesman in Tel Aviv flatly de- , nied last night that Israeli [forces had crossed into the Lebanon to lay ambushes on i the roads leading to the village of Kafr Kala. “There has been no Israeli military activity in this or! . any other sector on the Lebanese line,” the spokesman said. “The whole report is a complete fabrication.” Israeli officials say that a Damascus report of Israeli ambushes was “undoubtedly.! an attempt to confuse the: ! situation now existing in the Lebanon in a bid to compro-! mise the Lebanese authori-l :i ties."
