Bonds Sell Well
Demand was strong again yesterday for national development bonds from the Post Office Savings Bank in Christchurch. Twenty-six investors took bonds to the total value of $14,030 and another 50 bonds worth $7370 were sold in other areas.
The Chief Postmaster (Mr . M. T. Reedy), said that yesterday’s sale of $21,400 worth of bonds had brought the total for the first three days to more than $55,000 in the city and district He said that the Post Office was very happy with the progress of sales and the interest of the public in the scheme Sales throughout New Zealand are believed to have exceeded $lBO,OOO since Monday.
