Not Instead Of Lamb
“We are well know advocates of increased beef production and we believe that this has paid off for the fanner, for the freezing works, for their throughput, and nationally in considerably increasing our overseas receipts,” the general manager of Borthwicks, Mr P. T. Norman, told the farmers’ conference at Waipara last week.
“However, I would like to dear up a misconception, in that we do not wish to see increased beef production at the expense of lamb production, but rather in addition to lamb production.”
