Top Canterbury Ploughman
The most successful Canterbury ploughman attest week’s national championships at Masterton was 26-year-oid Peter D. Carter, an agricultural contractor of Greenpark. He was placed third out of the country’s 22 top ploughmen, ploughing in his fourth national final. His previous best placing was at Blenheim last year where he was fifth. Mr Carter’s plot caught the eye of spectators for its over-all good appearance and he was strongly tipped for a high placing. The Judges’ markings showed that in all departments of the contest he was well placed. His points were
