$43,900 To Be Disbursed

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) DUNEDIN, May 6. Grants totalling $43,900 to Otago institutions were announced today by the trustees of the Otago Savings Bank. The largest beneficiary is the Mater Hospital, which will receive $5OOO, and $3OOO will go to the Balclutha centennial project. The Knox College will receive $2OOO for its new hall of residence, the final payment towards $lO,OOO promised within five years. A similar grant goes to the post-graduate committee, faculty of medicine, University of Otago, for post-graduate education. The Dunedin branch of the Plunket Society will receive $l6OO, and grants of $lOOO go to St Hilda’s Collegiate School, the Otago Peninsula Trust, the Y.W.C.A, Dunedin, and the Otago branch of the Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society. The Dunedin Free Kindergarten Association and the Telford Farm Institute each receive $BOO.
