Two Farms Passed In A freehold property of 1876 acres at Hawarden, North Canterbury, was passed in at ' $97 an acre at a public auction in Christchurch yesterKnown as "Heathstock Downs” the property carries a full complement of buildings, including four homes. The land, advertised as a flrstclass cropping, grazing, fattening property, carries 4340 sheep and 195 stud Cattle. ; The "property was offered on account of the vendor by Pyhe, Gould, Guinness Ltd, In conjunction .with Wright, Stephenson and Company, Ltd. A 43-acre farm in Ellesmere Road, about 15 miles fro: Christchurch, was passed in at $28,500 at a public auction yesterday. The town - supply unit, "Green Park,” was offered as a going concern on behalf of Mr J. E. Foote by the National Mortgage and Agency Company in conjunction with the New Zealand Farmers’ : Co-operative Association of 1 Canterbury. 1 A three-bedroom house, gar- 1 age, workshop, farm buildings 1 and equipment, as well as dairy stock, were offered in the auction. The auctioneer was Mr N. K. Aitken. City Properties A section of 54 perches in Sails Road, Papanui central, was sold at auction yesterday for $5OOO. The Government valuation is $4OOO. The new owner intends to build ownership flats on the property, sold on behalf of Mr J. T. Priest by Christies, Ltd.

A property at 109 Bickerton Street was passed in at $BOOO at a public auction held by the New Zealand Fanners’ Co-operative Association of Canterbury, yesterday. The Government valuation is $7600.
The auctioneer was Mr G. B. Harty. A two-bedroom bungalow at 14 Bay View Road, Redcliffs, was sold by private treaty before going to public auction. The semi-furnished house was sold by Beasley Property Sales on behalf of Mr and Mrs N. J. L. Fox.
