Cattle Sale At Tinwald
There was a good attendance at the first monthly cattle sale at the Tinwald saleyards this week. Eighty prime and 162 store cattle were offered. Satisfactory prices were received for all grades. The store cattle firmed as the sale progressed, some calves gaining $3 to $5 on last week’s calf sale. Range of prices:— Prime Cattle Prime 2*-year bullocks to $112; extra prime, 20-month bullocks $9O to $95; prime 20month bullocks $BO to $87.50; medium prime 20-month bullocks to $65 to $75. Extra prime 20-month heifers to $B2; prime 20-month heifers $6B to $75: medium prime 20month heifers $6O to $66. Prime veal to $69: medium prime veal $45 to $5l. Store Cattle
A line of wellbred in-calf Hereford cows realised $93. Aberdeen Angus in-calf cows $55. Two-and-a-half-year Friesian steers $7B.
