$500,000 To Invest

r.VZ. Press Assn —Copyright I MELBOURNE, April 29. Baron Heinrich von Thyssen, the coal, shipping and steel industrialist reputedly worth 8400 m, said today he was prepared to invest $500,000 in Australia. He is on a 10-day visit to Australia to sound out business possibilities. The 47-y ear-old baron will hold talks in Canberra tomorrow with the Federal Trade Minister, Mr John McEwen, and then visit Sydney. He has already been to Perth in Western Australia. Baron von Thyssen said he proposed setting up factories in Perth in about two months to produce cement pumps for export—if this first industrial venture in Australia goes ahead as planned. Accompanying him is his 27-year-old Braiilian-born fourth wife, Liliane Denise. The baron’s third wife was a former New Zealand model, Fiona Campbell-Walter. It is not known if he intends visiting New Zealand.
