Three Road Deaths

An Auckland student died after the late-model car he was driving was involved in a head-on collision with another car near Havelock North. He was Graham Keith Neiderer, of Waitara Road, St Heliers, Auckland, who was visiting Hastings. Ambulance men had difficulty extricating him from his badly damaged car and he died of head injuries in the Hastings Memorial Hospital, says the Press Association. HIT BY CAR A boy was killed when he was struck by a car at Ihakara, near Shannon, yesterday morning. He was Robert John Ferrier, aged 7, of Shannon. CYCLIST DIES An elderly man who was injured in a road accident on Friday night, died yesterday morning in the Cook Hospital, Gisborne. He was Clement Robert Edwin Fleming, aged 72, a pensioner, of Main Road, Makaraka.

Mr Fleming, who was riding a bicycle, was involved in a collision with a car.
