Nottinghamshire 18 points, Glamorgan five. At Folkestone: Kent 458/9 dec. and 131/5 dec. <M. C. Cowdrey 66) beat Northamptonshire 325 (Mushtaq Mohammad 87) and 189 (R. Prideaux 67; D. Underwood 5/54, A. Dixon 4/55), by 75 runs. Kent 21 points, Northamptonshire nine. At Bristol: Somerset 212 and 249/8 dec. (M. Kitchen 145 not out; D. Duty Fulfilled.—A Czechoslovak radio station which began transmission six days after the country was invaded and supported the Soviet line on the events there, ceased broadcasting today. “The Voice of the Workers of the Republic” said it had fulfilled its “patriotic and partisan duty.”—Vienna, September 3.
