Jockey To Go To Anakiwa
“The Press” Special Service HASTINGS. The former Hastings jockey. B. L- Cullen, now attached to the stables of W. Sanders, at Te Awamutu, is to attend the Outward Bound school during November and early December. Cullen, an outstanding apprentice jockey and a leading pupil at the Hastings school for apprentice jockeys, ended his apprenticeship last season and recently left Hastings with his family for Te Awamutu. His father. Mr L. Cullen, a well-known Hastings trainer, has joined the Sanders' establishment where K. S. Cullen is the No. 1 stable .rider. Cullen is being sponsored by a well-known Hawke s Bay racing family. He is the second Hawke s Bar jockey to attend Outward Bound. The first was I. Lawson.
