Stapleton Wins

The brilliant Christchurch scrambles rider, G. J. Stapleton, took another step towards world class when he won the 250 c-c. class of the Norwich Viking Club’s meeting at Lyng, England, last week. Riding a 250 c.c. Swedish Husqvarna, Stapleton led home the talented English rider, N. Messenger (C.Z.), after a stern struggle. However, in the main race for experts and invited juniors, Messenger used his larger 360 c.c. Cl. and this gave him just enough power to hold off the New Zealand rider.
