CONSUMER CENTRES

Proposal By C.A.R.P. (N Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 12. The Campaign against Rising Prices wants consumer centres to be set up in large suburban areas and small towns to provide information and advice and to act as intermediaries between consumers and traders to secure satisfaction on complaints. C.A.R.P. suggested this in its submissions to the Commerce Committee on the Consumers’ Information Bill, which it has just released. C.A.R.P. submitted points on eight clauses.
