Death Of Sheep
(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) WASHINGTON, April 23 The Army has conceded that an unexpected wind shift could have carried nerve gas being tested in the Utah Desert into an area where about 6400 sheep mysteriously died, United Press International reports. In a report to Senator Frank E. Moss (Democrat, Utah) the Army said it could be ’’postulated” that small quantities of the poisonous agent were carried into Skull Valley and Rush Valley where the sheep began dying the next day. The Army said tests at the Government laboratory in Atlanta had shown that chemical agents found in the dead sheep were the same as those used in the nerve gas.
