Another Rush To Buy Gold

(N.Z.P A.-Reuter —Copyright) LONDON, March 12.

A rush to buy gold built up in London today as speculators and hoarders continued to drain away the trading resources of the Western banking nations. British financial experts estimate that hoarders now hold more gold than the combined supply of the seven nations in the Internal Gold Pool. Demand at the price-fixing in London was said to be roughly double that at yesterday’s opening, when just under 10 tons was bought. The demand rose.sharply yesterday afternoon. The bullion market refuses to give any indication of the turnover but the day’s total is believed to have been more than 25 tons.

The price at the fixing today was 293 s Old.
