Vegetable And Fruit Prices
Apricots to $2.50 a case were available at Christchurch produce markets yesterday. Dessert plums to $1 a case were also available. Cucumbers sold from 80c to $2 a case and peas sold to $3.80 a case. Other prices supplied by the Christchurch Fruit and Vegetable Wholesalers’ Association were: Silver Beet. —To 55c a case. Potatoes. —To $2 a case. Spring Onions. —To 60c a dozen bunches. Stringless Beans. —To $2.50 a case. Tomatoes.—loc to 23c a pound. Grapefruit.—To $4 a case.
