M.C.C. And First Test (N.Z P.A.-Reuter—Copyright» LONDON. Before the M.C.C. left for the West Indies on Wednesday, the captain, M. C. Cowdrey, confessed to one major concern—to get bis team fit and acclimatised in time for the first test in Trinidad, at the end of January. There are only three firstclass games and two minor matches before the first test Cowdrey said: “Give us about three weeks to get used to conditions and then you should see something. I feel we have the best possible l team for the tour, and in Tom Graveney, Ken Barrington, Jim Parks and myself we have four players with firsthand knowledge of tests in the West Indies.” Mr L. Ames, the manager, was hopeful about the outcome of the series. “I am delighted with the team and I feel we have a good chance of winning,” he said. The three-month tour will begin with a two-day game against Barbados Colts, starting on Saturday. The team is: Cowdrey. F. J. Titmus (vice-captain). K. F. Barrington. G. Boycott. B. D'Oliveira, J. A.
