Thom Wins Shooting

C. Thom (Sydenham) won the Canterbury rifle shooting championship with a score of 290 at the West Melton range yesterday. V. A. Curtis, 288, was second. Thom, one of the most experienced shooters in Canterbury, was the most consistent competitor in the championship event. Other results were:— B grade: B. E. Thomae (Nelson), 282.
