Two Horses Destroyed
Magic Ways and Special Request were destroyed after fracturing legs at Washdyke yesterdav. Magic Wav. a four-year-old Magic Carpet gelding, trained at Riccarton by C. C. McCarthy for Dr M. G. Louisson. broke down during the Pukaki Highweight. One of Special Request s legs gave out after he had passed the post in the Gordon’s Gin Handicap. A six-year-old Bellagioca gelding, he was trained at Orari bv L. H. Pratt for Mr and Mrs A. G. Wigley.
