The Hastings trainer, K. H. Quinlivan, left on Sunday for Riccarton with Empyreus, Game and Goldenise, which will race at the New Zealand Cup meeting. Game is in the Stewards’ Handicap and Churchill Stakes, and Empyreus is in the Canterbury Cup and the Metropolitan. The New Zealand Derby and Oaks Stakes are the main mission for Goldenise.

D. Jones left yesterday with Saint Ives, Greenstone and Fabulad. Jones has Saint Ives in the Spring Plate on Saturday. She will also contest the Oaks on the third day. Greenstone is in the New Zealand Derby and Fabulad will race on the later days.
