Painting Firm Wound Up

An order for the winding up of Antigua Painters, Ltd. (Mr B, A. Hunt), and the appointment of the Official Assignee as provisional liquidator, has been made by Mr Justice Macarthur in the Supreme Court, on the petition of the Bank of New Zealand (Mr M. J. Cashmere), which through its Christchurch branch manager, Albert Arthur Pickering, proved a debt of $2438. An application by Mr Hunt for an adjournment of the petition, on the ground that the company had passed an extraordinary resolution for a voluntary winding up shortly before the petition was called in the Supreme Court on Wednesday morning, was refused.
