Watersider Hit By Dunnage
A 30-year-old waterside worker, Athol Christopher Ascott, of Heathcote, suffered head injuries and mild shock when he was struck by a small length of dunnage in the hold of the Onehunga at Lyttelton shortly before 9 a.m. yesterday. The dunnage flew into the air during the handling of drums for discharge, and hit Mr Ascott on the temple. He was treated and sent home.
