DEFERRED DECISION
Admission Of S. Africa (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copt/rlaht) TEHERAN. The International Olympic Committee has deferred until February a decision on whether South Africa can take part in the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. The executive of the 1.0. C. said that an inquiry commission would go to South Africa not later than the end of August this year. It would submit its report by the end of September. This would then be considered by the 1.0. C. executive at Grenoble, in France—the site of the winter Olympics—in February. The decision means that South Africans will not be able to attend the preOlympic contest in Mexico next October because the Mexicans will not allow them to take part until they are re-admitted to the Olympic Games.
Bout Arranged.—B. Stlnlnato, the American light heavyweight boxer now living In Hamilton, has signed to meet B. McKinney, of America, In the next boxing match at the Auckland Y.M.C.A. Stadium on June 5. The winner is likely to meet the world-ranked Australian, B. Dunlop, on June 19. Tour Off.—The Hawke's Bay under-13 representative soccer team has had to cancel a 10-dav tour of the South Island because of the rati strike.
