Japan Reaches Zone Final
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) TOKYO. Japan completed a 5-0 victory over the Philippines yesterday in section A of the Davis Cup eastern zone. The Japanese won both the final singles in straight sets. I. Konishi beat S. Ang, 6-4, 6-3, 6-2, and K. Watanabe beat F. Ampon, 6-0, 6-1, 6-1. Japan will next meet India in the zone final.
