Reid, general manager of Helicopters (N.Z.), Ltd., said in Auckland that nine helicopters were involved every day in the hunting of deer. There were plenty of animals still (the Forest Service estimated deer numbers at three million to eight million), but the profit margin in helicopter hunting was slender, he said.
