Australian Cup Today

(Special Crspdt. N.Z P.A.) MELBOURNE. The New Zealand-bred three-year-old, Pharaon, is second favourite for the Australian Cup (10 furlongs), at Flemington today. The Sydney galloper, Hambledon, is a firm favourite for the cup, second leg of the V.R.C. autumn double.

The first leg, the Newmarket Handicap, went to the Sydney sprinter, Nebo Road, on Saturday.

Another New Zealand-bred, Future, is on the third line in early markets.

Also in the field are the 1965 Caulfield Cup winner. Bore Head, Sydney Cup winner, Prince Grant, and the former New Zealand mare, Bellition. The field is:—
