Nomination Of Officers
Three nominations had been received by the Canterbury University Students’ Association for the position of men’s vice-president of the association when nominations closed on Monday evening. The nominees are Messrs R. Warren, a fifth year law student; J. Van Maanen, a senior science student, and D. Clemens, a fifth year law student.
The election for this position will be held next Monday.
Miss P. Roche, a fourthyear student, as the only nomination for women’s vice-pre-sident, has been elected unopposed.
For the association's executive, an election will be held next Tuesday for the men’s seats.
Nominations are: Messrs Jeremy Atkinson, T. J. McDonald, K. J. Farrell T Symes, P. W. Rosier, and M. G. Morris. The remaining two of the unsuccessful vice-presidential nominees are automatically included in the executive election.
As only two nominations for women members of the executive were received, they have been elected unopposd. They are Misses A. Todd and J. Ward.
