Firm Australian Trend Continues
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, December 29. The Sydney stock market continued to improve slightly on the Exchange today, and leading stocks were a shade firmer. Turn-over of 424,000 including 156,000 mining was light.
On the Melbourne Stock Exchange the upward trend in industrials continued with rise well in excess of falls.
Activity was again low and price movements small. Base metals and oils were firm.
