ANTENATAL INSTRUCTION
Need For More Classes
The Health Department had drawn attention to the increasing awareness of the desirability of ante-natal instruction, and the growing demand for more classes, it was reported to yesterday’s meeting of the North Canterbury Hospital Board. The department considered that in most cases, such instruction shoud be based on the local hospital. To assess the situation more accurately, and to stimulate development of the educational programme, the department planned to ask a number of hospital boards to send representatives to a meeting in Wellington next year. Dr. S. C. Peddie was nominated to represent the North Canterbury board.
