Gift To Maori Hostel
Sports equipment has been given by the Riccarton Rotary Club to the Te Kaihanga Maori apprentices' hostel in Hansens Lane as a memorial to Mr R. Skinner, a Riccarton businessman.
Mr J. Henderson, on behalf of the club, presented the equipment, which included two lifting bars with weights, boxing gloves and mitts, a speed punch ball, two judo mats and a folding table tennis table and bats.
A Rotary cup for the best t canoe (house) in the hostel | was also presented.
