increase In Betting
Betting both on and offcourse showed an increase at the Geraldine Trotting Club’s annual meeting at Orari yesterday. The meeting was held in fine weather before a surprisingly large crowd. The track was fast. On-course investments amounted to £31,020 10s, including £5219 10s on the two doubles, compared with £29,284 10s last year when the club raced on a Saturday. Off-course betting amounted to £95,634 ss, including £48,816 15s on the double, compared with £41,724 last year.
The off-course substitute was Bramlock.
