COCKER SPANIEL BEST IN DOG SHOW
The cocker spaniel Wishing Time of Inverloch, owned by Mrs N. Hodge, was judged best in show at the open dog show held by the Canterbury Kennel Association at Addington Show Grounds on Saturday. Mr and Mrs C. R. Waldron’s Shetland sheepdog Pocoville Melba was runner-up. A Chihuahua, Tui Vale’s Typhoon Tracey, owned by Mrs 0. M. Mills, was the best puppy in the show. A total of 166 sporting, nonsporting, terrier, and toy dogs were entered. The judges were Messrs J. A. Borland and R. H. Adcock, of Christchurch. Results: Sporting Basenji.—E.
