ELECTORAL ROLLS

Issue Next Month Printing of electoral rolls and ballot papers was arranged by the Federation of Master Printers throughout New Zealand and not by the Government Printer’s Office, the Acting Registrar (Mr F. G. Elsmore) said yesterday. The new rolls for Avon, Central, Fendalton, Lyttelton, Riccarton, St. Albans, Selwyn and Sydenham were being printed in Christchurch and should be ready for circulation about September 2, when they would be displayed in the office of the Registrar of Electors and Post Offices. The new rolls would be considerably larger than the present ones. They would contain the names, occupations, and addresses of electors.
