Overseas Borrowing
Sir,—Mr V. Wilkinson is appalled at public indifference, appalled at Government borrowing, in fact appalled at everything the present Government is doing. New Zealanders can afford to be indifferent. When Mr Holyoake and Mr Marshall are at the helm. I would say the former is a first-class statesman, and the latter a wise and tough negotiator, and both nature’s gentleman. Mr Wilkinson, being a farmer, instead of writing a tale of woe, should say thank you to Mr Marshall for getting free entry into Britain for his lambs for the next five years. After the election in November Mr Wilkinson will get the answer. Our present leaders will carry the National Party to victory with the greatest majority counted at New Zealand polls in the last half-century.—Yours etc CREDIT WHERE CREDIT” IS DUE. August 10, 1966.
