National Party To Meet Next Week

(New Zealand Frets Association) WELLINGTON, July 18. Fifty-six remits are set down for consideration at the National Party’s Dominion conference at Wellington next Saturday and Monday,

Ten will be discussed in plenary session and the remainder will go before four remit committees which will report their conclusions to the conference. The subject matter includes the control ot broadcasting services, welfare questions, proposals for taxation incentives, and means of stepping up the export drive. The 10 plenary session remits include two on assistance to underdeveloped countries, two on productivity and one each on the establishment of a capital savings fund and a farm disaster fund. Others cover overseas borrowing, radio and television services, drinking hours, and the care of the mentally ill. More than 450 delegates and

observers, including Government members of Parliament and Cabinet Ministers, will attend the conference.
