TRENTHAM FOGGY
Little Fast Work “The Press” Special Service WELLINGTON. Fog for the first 90 minutes of yesterday’s training session at Trentham obliterated little fast work. More than 20 horses engaged tomorrow were brought to the track but most of them did slow work. Four Gloaming Stakes runners worked, two of them at speed and two more steadily. Court Belle and Red Siren did pace work. Both are welt and Court Belie, although she has not raced for three weeks, looks ready for the Stakes. Carnmor, a localdy trained Gloaming Stakes light-weight, was ridden by his trainer T. G. Stokes in a trial with Giamiis Lad (A. Powell). They startec at the seven furlongs and covered the last half-mile in 51 4-ssec and three furlongs in Udare (G. A. Walters) started from the mile, went easily for a lap, more strongly to the halfmile, . then sprinted home in 53 4-s'sec, the last three furlongs taking 40 4-s<sec. Tsunami (B. S. Finlayson) beat White Rajah (Swanson) over seven furlongs on the inside grass in Imin 32 *2-ssec. the last three furlongs in 38sec.
