MAY YET START
Facade Has Corns “The Press” Special Service PALMERSTON NORTH. Facade, which was regarded on Wednesday as a most un>l*ike4y -starter for the Capital S-teeplechase at Trentham. now has a good chance of reaching the post, says his trainer, J. W. Harris. Harris said yesterday that he was bathing three of the grey’s hooves almost continuously and was hopeful that the treatment would have the desired result. After his final gallop at WoodvM«le on Wednesday Facade was very tender. He had worked bare-footed in front because of painful corn trouble, but it was soreness in his hind leg which caused the real concern. Later in the day this was tracked down to an infection in the seat of another corn and Facade showed immediate relief when it was opened and drained. Harris intends perservering with the treatment today and there is little chance of a firm decision being made until the morning of the race.
