BABY IN HOSPITAL
Father Under Arrest Detectives on Wednesday night and yesterday inquired into injuries to the head suffered by a 15-month-old baby boy whe was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital on Wednesday night. The baby is in the hospital for observation purposes. His condition last evening was reported to be satisfactory. The father of the baby was seen by an officer of the Child Welfare Department on Wednesday night. A doctor was later called to the house, and the baby sent to the hospital. The police were called in. The father was arrested late yesterday and will appear in the Magistrate’s Court today.
