Comparini, Nelson’s trialist for the Empire Games cycling team, covered 4000 metres in smin 12.2 sec—only O.lsec outside his time now awaiting ratification as a New Zealand junior pursuit record. His time came in a special trial at Trafalgar Park on Thursday night riding against O. Williscroft.

Comparini is seeking a place in the Games team as a special 4000 metre pursuit rider and a supporting man ta the 10-mile track event.
