Serious Condition

A youth who was admitted to Gore Hospital yesterday with a broken leg and other suspected injuries, was reported to be in a serious condition last night. He is Patrick William Baker, aged 17, a front-seat passenger in a car which rolled several times after it failed to take a slight left turn on the Riversdale-Pryamid bridge road, about five miles east of Riversdale at 1.15 p.m. The driver, Kevin John Eastwick, aged 18, went through the front windscreen, but was uninjured. Both youths are of 426 Barbadoes street, Christchurch. —(PA.)
