Award Upheld ■ Mr Justice Hardie Boys' dismissed in the Supreme: ' Court yesterday a motion by j : Valley Inn Hotel, Ltd., seeking the setting aside of a I judgment for £7589 damages | against the company, awarded by a jury on June 11 last ! The hotel company, repre- ■ seated by Mr C. B. Atkinson,; sought to have judgment I entered in its favour, or alter-1 natively, a new trial. Mr G. S. Brockett, with him i Mr L. M. O’Reilly, appeared | for Seffried Sydney Thomp-1 son, a hotel manager, to op-1 pose the company’s motion. ! Thompson was awarded j £7589 damages for injuries suffered in a motor accident having been a passenger in: a car driven by a servant of the hotel company.
