Bursary For Plumber

The Bank of New South Wales, in association with the New Zealand Society of Master Plumbers, has announced the award of its seventh plumbing apprenticeship bursary to Mr T. F. Foote, aged 21, of Ngaruawahia. The bursary is awarded by ! the bank annually, and enables a plumbing journeyman, who has qualified for the plumbers’ registration certificate, to travel to Australia so that he may advance his technical knowledge and experience in the fields of sanitation, water reticulation, and general plumbing on major construction work. Mr Foote will leave by air for Australia early next month, and will spend about a year in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
