Greasy wool told at the Christchurch wool nle on December 8 realised an average 45.5877 d per lb, against 43.9234 d at the comparable sale last year. The gross proceeds for the 8,889,8101 b of wool sold were £1,688,379. Last year 8,377,9041 b fetched £1,522,802. The average price a bale was £63 13s 4d and 26,522 bales were sold, compared with an average £6O 4s 6d and 25,286 hales. These flgures were released yesterday by the Christchurch Woolbrokers’ Association.
