TO PREACH IN CITY

Former N.C.C. Secretary The sermon at a carol service at St. Matthew's Church, St. Albans, on Sunday night will be given by the Rev. A. Brash, the inter-church aid secretary of the East Asia Christian Conference.

Mr Brash, who arrived in Christchurch on Wednesday, is a former general secretary of the National Council of Churches. He took «up his present position in 1962. His headquarters are in Singapore, but he frequently travels to Geneva and the United States.

Mr Brash was brought to New Zealand to be one of the speakers at the fourth Ecumenical Youth Conference in Hamilton from December 28 to January 4. He will leave Christchurch for the North island on Monday.
