OTEMATATA ROAD
Contract Let For Metalling (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 17. A £96,875 contract for work on sections of State highway 83 has been let to the Dunedin contracting firm Fulton Hogan, Ltd., the Minister of Works (Mr Allan) said today. The contract for sub-base metalling, base-course metalling and first-coat sealing will include work on the Pukeuri-Kurow-Omarama State highway at Otematata, below the Bemnore dam on the Otematata-Glenburn Station section and the Glenburn Station-Omarama section. Altogether 905 chains of roading will be reconstructed, involving 125,000 cubic yards of earthworks.
