New Hostels
Two new youth hostels will be available for members of the Youth Hostels’ Association of New Zealand this Christmas. Both are in the far north of the North Island. The northern-most hostel, at Awanui, has only recently been completed. It accommodates six men and six women, and fk 70 miles from Cape Reinga. The second new hostel is at Ohaeawai. It is a house hostel, providing accommodation for four in a private home under hostel conditions. The new hostels Inring the number of hostels throughout New Zealand to 54.
