Warning For U.K. League

(N.Z. Preus Association) AUCKLAND, September 14

The Auckland Rugby League board of control wants to warn English League officials that the play-the-ball movement as employed in England at present will not be tolerated in New Zealand. when the British team visits here next season.

The board tonight advised its New Zealand Council delegate, Mr G. G. Plant, to raise the subject at a meeting of the New Zealand Rugby League Council on Thursday.

Mr K. Mclver (referees’ delegate) said that the various manners in which the ball was played in the televised English Cup final were grossly contrary to the rules.
