Forth Bridge In Red
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, August 10. Revenue from the Firth of Forth road bridge may not be sufficient to meet the first year’s interest charges of about £875,000 on the loan of more than £l4 million for its construction. Prospects of a political dispute about the financing of the bridge and its approach roads have arisen because of advance warning given unofficially by some local government representatives that they will strongly oppose any suggestion that the toll should be increased.
