‘No Solution Found’ (N.Z. Press Allocation’ WELLINGTON, Aug. 5 The Tobacco Board has considered carefully the suggested reduction of 20 per cent by one tobacco company of leaf grown in New Zealand, the chairman of the board (Mr H. L. Wise) said today Mr Wise said that the manufacturing industry collectively could offer no easement of the situation. The board car find no immediate solution to the problem this season, he said, hut it has been decided to take earlv steps to stabilise the production of New Zealand leaf for future seasons in terms of the country's requirements.
